Welcome to Our Favorite Things!
We’re really missing weddings and all that goes along with them right about now. How about you? While everything seems to be changing these days one thing that remains constant is our love for our clients and what we do as photographers! That’s why we decided to start a new blog entry on what we enjoy most about weddings! Consider it a (weekly? monthly? semi-weekly, I don’t know. Is semi-weekly even a thing??) highlight reel of the past years with an adorable theme. Who doesn’t want to put a pause on “the new normal” and look back on great moments of love and togetherness mixed with pretty flowers, gorgeous views, fancy dresses and… cake!?
To start things off, this week we want to share what we’ve dubbed “Mini Moments.” Mini Moments are those small, blink-and-you-miss-it things that happen on a wedding day. We strive to tell your wedding story in full detail. Whether it’s a flower girl or ring bearer stealing the show or that tender moment between mom and daughter when you thought no one was looking. Those can be the heart of the day and we’re here for it!
First up are the kiddos! They are the true “minis” in mini moments! Their innocent curiosity, their silly smiles and endless energy! It doesn’t stop just because auntie and uncle are getting married! We love these little humans for their honesty, cuteness and genuine emotion.
Black and White
It’s our belief that black and white imagery can help you to truly focus on the moment at hand. It helps take away everything distracting you from seeing the true emotion in a moment and feel your feels. Black and white help some of the best Mini Moments get noticed.
Mom and Dad
…Or any other important adults in your life. They’re the ones that got you here. They raised you, they love you and now they’re proudly watching you start your life with your new family. They deserve “a little” attention. (See what I did there?)
Each moment is important to us on a wedding day! The tears, the laughter and everything in between. Mini moments come together to build one big, wonderful story of your wedding day and we’re honored to capture it!
Stay tuned for more of our favorite things. We’re hoping to make this a weekly thing. Please let us know what you think and if you have any interesting topics you think we should explore!
